Food changes… What to Expect

Oct 25, 2020 | Thrive

Everyone will experience this shift in diet differently.  You may feel energized, lethargic, nauseous, hungry, satisfied… and many other emotions and sensations as your brain and gut adjust and stabilize. These are detox symptoms.

Be sure to move and be active and sleep as much as you need.  Drink lots of water and supportive drinks.  Explore the styles of movement and exercise that have been calling you.  Sometimes it’s stretching or just moving some weight.  Go run, do a yoga class, do deep breathing exercises; anything that increases activity.

If the detox feelings are keeping you from working out (especially if you are fasting) then it’s time to eat 🙂  Your body is dumping and we need to help remove the garbage with energy and fiber from fruit!  Increase your fruit and veggie juice intake.

Things may feel like they are going great and then one moment you crash and wonder what happened. When I started this journey, this happened many times. I remember one time, I went to the gym, walked over to a machine, and did 10 reps. I felt so tired I went back to my car and fell asleep in the parking lot for 30 minutes.  I woke up feeling great; went back to the gym and did my full work out.  I want you to be flexible and listen to what your body is telling you to do.

When you eat … Eat.  Enjoy the food.  Make it like you want it, and keep it toxic free..
